- The company must have a valid Commercial Registration (CR) that includes the activity of seed trading or selling.
- The company must employ a qualified agricultural engineer.
- The company must have a licensed shop or warehouse approved by the competent authorities.
- After fulfilling the requirements, an application for a Seed Import License must be submitted through the Naama Platform. Once the license is approved, import requests can then be submitted through the system.
- The quantity of seeds to be imported must be limited and appropriate for the intended experimental trial.
- The Seeds, Seedlings, and Plant Propagation Materials Regulation must be reviewed and complied with.
- An import approval must be obtained from the Ministry prior to shipment, in order to review the requirements and documents that must be submitted at the port of entry upon arrival of the consignment.
