Requirements

Farmers wishing to import seeds or seedlings for personal agricultural use must submit an import request through the Naama Platform, attaching the following documents:

  1. Farm ownership deed, agricultural record, or a notarized lease contract, accompanied by the agricultural record.
  2. A technical report on the farm issued by the nearest branch of the Ministry, confirming that the farm has the capacity to accommodate the requested quantity and that it is suitable for cultivation.
  3. A written undertaking not to sell the imported seeds or seedlings.
  4. A Proforma Invoice including the scientific names of the requested varieties.
  5. The requested varieties must not be prohibited and must not be registered under a local agent.
  6. An import approval must be obtained from the Ministry prior to shipment by submitting the import request through the Naama Platform. After the approval is issued, it will specify the requirements and documents that must be submitted at the port of entry upon arrival of the consignment
